Founded in 1972, this event is the world’s largest international exhibition of patented inventions, with over 1,000 inventions – 38 countries and regions – 25,000 visitors – 15,500 m2.
Under the patronage of: WIPO, the Swiss Confederation, the Republic and Canton of Geneva and the City of Geneva, the show receives extensive national and international media coverage.

Swiss Innovation Pavilion
To celebrate its 50th edition in style, and to underline its link with Switzerland, the Show would like to offer a pavilion of honor dedicated to innovation, research and technology in Switzerland.
Switzerland is renowned for its excellence in scientific research and technological innovation. A dedicated pavilion will showcase the latest Swiss advances and innovations, demonstrating the country’s dynamism and capacity for innovation in a variety of sectors.
This pavilion will raise the profile of Swiss institutions among the many countries represented at the show, while offering thousands of visitors a sense of belonging. It will also promote exchanges with over fifty universities, as well as forty research centers and national and governmental institutions (2024 figures).
What activities will be offered?
- Presentation of the various institutions.
- Roundtables on current research and innovation topics.
- Presentations by Swiss start-ups and SMEs will bring these discussions to life by illustrating their real-life applications, making the concepts more tangible for the audience.
- Panels featuring Swiss experts and exhibitors/experts from the show, covering topics such as technology transfer, commercializing innovations, and international cooperation. Switzerland is a country that brings people together.
- Exhibition on the evolution of innovation in Switzerland.

The mission of the four sector platforms is to profile and promote Western Switzerland as a center of excellence in the life sciences (BioAlps), information and digital technologies (Alp ICT), micro & nanotechnologies (Micronarc) and cleantech & sustainability (CleantechAlps) sectors, and to implement measures to encourage knowledge transfer and innovation.
